DLG expands largest bulk terminal ever with state-of-art Supertech Agroline technology

Things have been busy on Masnedø, the small island between Zealand and Falster. DLG inaugurated their huge, new bulk terminal in June. The terminal is fitted with Supertech Agroline’s state of the art silo-monitoring system AgroLog.

A project of this scale naturally entails massive safety requirements. From the outset, Supertech Agroline were the partner of choice for the project, and the installation of our monitoring equipment went incredibly smoothly. We installed a bespoke AgroLog solution as a central monitoring centre for the crops stored.

 In brief, the system comprises:

●       Temperature monitoring in all silos and flat storage buildings

●       Aeration in all silos

●       Alarm systems connected to the fire authorities

The Supertech AgroLine AgroLog system gives DLG full control of development in both silos and flat storage buildings. Thanks to the associated software, the relevant staff can always gain a quick overview of the entire area at hand. The intelligent software continuously processes all recorded data and generate reports and controls aeration. If any problems occur, the system automatically notifies staff, so they can respond quickly.

For some, this may sound sophisticated, but the system is easy to install and to use on a daily basis. It runs 24/7. All one has to do is keep an eye on it – and of course respond if the alarm sounds. An AgroLog solution can always be scaled size-wise – right down to the small farmer with a single silo. It was a fascinating project for us to be part of, and we are delighted to make a contribution to a positive development in agriculture on Zealand and the other islands. The new bulk terminal means DLG now have an additional port of discharge on Zealand with access to the entire world market. We are very much looking forward to following developments and thank DLG for having the confidence to entrust us with the project.
